Modern Bohemian Style: Summer 2019 Trends We Love
If you’ve been following Topaz & Pearl for a while now, you know that I am not one to follow a trend. In fact, as a designer I’m usually trying to break away from them. But I’ve gotta say, there’s some boho chic trends happening right now that I’m just in love with. In this post I’ll share with you some of my favorite items I’ve been pinning, purchasing, and lusting after this summer!
Woven Slides
90's fashion is making it's comeback (finally!) and mules, clogs, and slides are on the rise. I love this mid-century twist of adding a woven texture to the slides. These mules by Salt + Umber (a woman owned, sustainable fasion brand) are available in 3 colors on Dazey LA's website!
Circle Bags
A uniquely shaped bag like these circle crossbody totes adds a new spin to any outfit. I love this simple lilac canvas tote from Wild Cactus Boutique. Lilac is such an easy color to pair with almost anything in your closet! For more of a bohemian statement, check out this beautiful leather and embroidery tote from the Etsy shop ArtesaniasCamila - and it comes with that oversized tassel too!
3) Terra Cotta Everything
Terra cotta has been on my favorite colors list for a long time. Y'all know I am obsessed with anything desert-chic! So I'm basically in heaven now that it's becoming a popular color this year, and there great accessories to choose from. I love this floral duster from Mason James boutique. It's a perfectly romantic boho piece. And it would pair perfectly with any of our terra cotta colored earrings from the newest collection! On the top-left are the Hexagon Drop Earrings in Terra Cotta & Turquoise. On the top right are the Geometric Chevron Earrings in Terra Cotta. And below are the Sundial Earrings with Lapis (currently sold out but coming soon).
4) Macrame
The macrame trend is not just for your walls, ladies! And in my opinion, the best place to find unique macrame pieces is on Etsy because you know it’s handmade with love. First up is this amazingly patterned bag from the shop SheweaveCraft. It's the perfect size for everyday use. Secondly, CAN WE TALK about this macrame camera strap from ReadyYourKnot? What a creative idea, and a perfectly boho accessory. Last but not least are these unique jacket pins from IndigoRiverTextiles. Add this onto a denim (or dare I say, a crushed velvet) blazer and get your Stevie Nicks style on.
I hope you love this style inspo! For daily style tips like these, follow @topazandpearljewelry on Instagram!
